The bangle likely originated near East / Central Asia, Turkey or Persia during the achaemenid empire from 6th to 2nd century BCE. This is an ancient cast bronze bracelet terminating in stylized zoomorphic heads, possibly representing lions, boars, or mythical beasts. The bracelet display a smooth curvature with terminal detailing that echoes protective or symbolic animal motifs seen across ancient eastern and mediterranean ornamentation. Likely worn in antiquity as talismans or symbols of identity and wealth. These bangles would usually be buried with the deceased.
Condition: Pitting and abrasions, but intact. Softening to details on the smallest. Dark patina and oxidation.
